Крона “Krona”
Original score – OUT NOW!
Alyona (23), tired of her routine, finds herself in an Udmurt village for the first time. Here, she finds it easier to encounter with the Udmurt spirits of nature than to deal with real life.
Alyona’s search leads her into the thicket of the forest; she is determined to find answers in Udmurtia’s wild nature and better understand herself.
“Krona” is an Udmurt short film, Written and Directed by Vera Veredyuk and produced by Yekaterina Nikolayeva.
As composer, I collaborated closely with Udmurt folk group Азвесям (Az-vye-syam) - three incredible female musicians to produce a hybrid folk and cinematic score.
The result is an album that weaves together cinematic, orchestral and ethereal composition with Udmurt folk song and samples.
It’s about the meeting of magic, myth and nature…
